Carmenere originally came from the Medoc in Bordeaux. Was planted by winemakers in Chile, believing it to be Merlot. Today, Carmenere is Chile's flagship grape. Notes of ripe black fruits, red apple, olives, earthy aromas and spices with subtle notes of fresh mint, followed by soft tannins and a great balance on the palate.
